At sm~ARC, inc., we provide a very specialised representation service: our focus is on high-quality writing in fiction and non-fiction that may, for aesthetic reasons, have difficulty finding a home in the conventional publishing industry. Here are some qualities we look for:

• old-fashioned writing styles, including grammar, vocabulary, and syntax.
• material not conventionally "popular" in current genre fiction.
• well-researched or documented material on off-mainstream subjects.

Here are some things were prefer to avoid:

• conspiracy theory writing.
• poorly crafted, amateurish prose.
• derivative work or fan fiction.
• any material advancing prejudice.

We cannot guarantee placement of your work with an editor or publisher, but we can promise to work diligently to get your work in front of readers who might find it interesting. If you sign with us you will get an activity report detailing the steps we have taken to market your work.
